Alimankada Camp Site
greenline

The Udawalawe National Park is home to several camping sites that allow easy and unobstructed views of the mesmerising wildlife and scenery of the region. The campsite known as "Alimankada" is one of the popular camping areas as it allows campers to enjoy splendid views of several of the larger animals of Udawalawe. A strong feeling mixed with excitement as well as bewitchment will be experienced by visitors while camping at Alimankada.

The Walawe River gently runs adjacent to the campsite and the junction that is frequented by the elephants in order to cross the river is also situated close by. Due to this "junction for elephants", the campsite is known as the "Alimankada" campsite. The camping area is spacious and sufficiently flat. According to several opinions of visitors, the Alimankada campsite is suitable for large tents and the view it offers is spectacular.
