Grey-headed Fish Eagle

Often spotted nearby the Udawalawe National Park and other water bodies in the park, the grey-headed fish eagle is one of the types of eagles found in Sri Lanka. The scientific name of the Grey-headed Fish Eagle is Ichthyophaga ichthyaetus and it is listed under the "not threatened" category by the IUCN. The grey-head fish eagle can be spotted soaring in the sky at Udaalawe, and as mentioned above, near the Udawalawe reservoir and other water bodies.
